Lucknow: After a long break of two years from the IPL, Chennai Super Kings returned as the third time IPL winner by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets in a final encounter of Indian Premier League at Wankhede Stadium.

Sunrisers Hyderabad set a target of 178 runs against Kings that has been easily chased bagging the IPL trophy for the third time. Shane Watson emerged out as a key player, who scored 117 runs.

Kane Williamson has become the winner of most runs in the IPL tournament, whereas Andrew Tye of Kings XI Punjab is the leading wicket-taker in the IPL tournament.
