Team India today defeated the out of form Srilankan team by 3 wickets after the visitors were given a small target of 237 runs to chase in 50 overs.

Hitting out hard in the initial overs, Indian openers went on fire to score some quick runs giving thier team a solid base of 100 run partnership. It was then the Sri Lankan spinners came and created havoc in the Indian dressing room after sending 7 back into the pavillion.

Match was evenly poised at the halfway stage however, hosts had a slight upper edge with Bhuvneshwar and Dhoni at the crease and just 3 wickets left.

Both of them showed class act and made the hosts toil for wickets from there on and took India to a brilliant win in the second one day match of the fove match series against Sri Lanka.
