Bhopal: Bharatiya Janata Party chief Amit Shah today heaped praise on Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan abd said that he will lead BJP in the 2018 elections.

“After becoming the chief minister, Shivraj ji has developed the state at a rapid pace. He has brought Madhya Pradesh out of the BIMARU (laggard) tag and put it among developed states. People have also shown faith in him. I am hopeful that under his leadership BJP will get two-thirds majority in the next elections,” said Shah.

Asked how he would rate Chouhan’s performance on a scale of 10, Shah replied: “I’d give him 100 out of 100.”
In an exclusive interview to TOI a few days ago, CM Chouhan had recalled how he was ‘not even a sarpanch when made chief minister’. “But once I took over, there was no looking back. My aim was to improve people’s lives and put the state on the road to development,” he had said.
