List of retained players, team combination and analysis ahead of IPL 2022 mega auction

IPL 2022 season will surely be a special one with addition of two new teams Lucknow Super Gaints and Ahemdabad. IPL 2022 Mega Auction will take place in Bangalore on 12th and 13th February and all eyes will be on the young talent coming from all round the country. 551 crore would be spent to buy players by all franchise.
Here’s look at the key teams and their retained players ahead of the mega IPL auction:

Chennai Super Kings will be once again favourites for many this season. They will be looking forward to follow their mantra of having experience in their team and will therefore make purchase keeping in mind value and place of lots of experienced players in their squad. Among the four players retained by CSK by releasing heavy amount include cool skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, young talent of Gayakwad to strengthen their batting line-up at the top of the order. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and the only overseas player Moin Ali.

Mumbai Indians with 5 wins in their last 8 outings will be the hardest sides to get over this season. They have retained their four match winners however, they would be hoping they get chance to buy back sone of their key players as their young lot was fit enough and they would have hardly wanted any big changes to their team with things going their way with experience and young combination.

Players they retained are: Their most successful skipper Rohit Sharma. World class bowler Jaspreet Bumrah will lead their bowling attack. With successive impressive performances in recent outingsSurya Kumar yadav will give them strength in the middle order. Caribbean all-rounder Kieron Pollard is the only overseas player they have retained.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will be looking forward to hunt their skipper for the longer run of the game as 9 seasons since 2013, Virat Kohli was their caption but now they will be someone else who will take charge. Dependency on 3-4 players is the key issue for RCB. Players they retained include Virat Kohli for whooping 15 Crores, Aussie stalwart Glenn Maxwell for 11 Crores and Speedster Mohammad Siraj for 7 crores.

KKR will Be in hunt for their new skipper as lMorgan’s performance was very average in the last season.They would be looking for Shreyas Iyer even if they have to spend handsome amount they would like to take him at high bids as well. D Kock can be another option to groom as skipper and wicketkeeper batsmen.Players KKR retained include the likes of  Andre Russell and Sunil Narine among the overseas players while young Indian talent include names like Varun Chakravarty and Venkatesh Iyer.

Lucknow super gaints have KL Rahul as their  skipper who is probably one of the best batsmen in the shorter format of the game and has experience of being a capabke captain in this format. Bishnoi is another young talent that Lucknow has backed upon while Stonis is  their only overseas inclusion as of now. With huge amoung to spend in the IPL 2022 mega auction they will be looking to catch hold of some young terrific talent along with some overseas experience players to their team.

Ahemdabad is another new inclusion in the IPL 2022 and this new team under the leadership of star all-rounder Hardik Pandaya will be hoping for good start with the likes of Shubham Gill and Rashid Khan already part of the squad.All-rounder Hardik Pandya was bought for a whooping price of 15 Crore.  Spinner Rashid Khan was also acquired by Ahemdabad for handsome 15 Crore while young and dynamic opener Shubhman Gill was bought for 8 Crore. The Ahmedabad team is now left with a Wallet of 55 Crore from which they will be looking forward to buy best possible 15 players.
