Paper leak case: SIT to probe, re-exam on April 25

New Delhi: Students appearing for Board examination this year went into the shock following the leak of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10th Mathematics and Class 12th Economics papers on social media platform.

Rocking the nation after the revelation of paper leak issue, the police got involved into the matter and quizzed around 60 people in the case that includes the administrators of more than 10 WhatsApp groups where the leaked question papers were given.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar called the incident “unfortunate” and vowed of nabbing the culprits as soon as possible.

In order to tackle this situation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had announced the re-examination of Class X Maths and Class XII Economics papers in taking the favour of the students. Hearing the announcement, the students from all over the country took out to streets and started protesting against the decision of re-conduct of examination.

In a press conference held over CBSE paper leak case, Education secretary Anil Swarup said that April 25 is the date of re-examination for Class 12th Economics paper.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) also filed a complaint that the board had received a complaint on March 23 that a man running a coaching institute in Rajendra Nagar was involved in the Economics paper leaking. It also told that two schools in Rajendra Nagar are also involved in the case.

The Delhi Police has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) Class 10 and 12 examination papers leak case. The crime brnach team is conducting raids at several locations in the capital.
